Growing too fast.
I know it’s not a good thing smoking a cigar just received in the mail, however I just couldn’t help myself. Hey, it’s a Boli, what can I say?
This is one of the excellent cigars just received in a bomb from Ben (Modo22) and let me give a huge thank you to the man. The cigar has a medium brown wrapper with slight oil with a box pressed shape. It has a couple of prominent veins with a nice triple cap on top and very firm when squeezed, no soft spots to be found. After punching the cap with the largest ring on my knife, I find the draw with perfect resistance and a somewhat musty tobacco taste coming through.
With fire to the foot, I take a couple puffs and then a long draw and am hit with a perfect amount of spice on the tongue and throat with the smoke a good medium in strength. Rich Bolivar flavor hits the palate and is scrumdillyicious!
Toasted, sweet bread taste with strong coffee notes as well as golden honey and roasted nut.
A third of the way in and halfway through, the burn is sharp with a medium to dark gray ash forming that holds strong until tapped off in the ashtray. Medium to almost full strength smoke is flowing well through the perfect draw, smooth over the palate with just the right amount of spice. Flavors continue to be rich and delicious with a long, lasting finish.
The rest of the cigar was consistent with the first three quarters with sharp burn, perfect draw, and deliciously rich Bolivar flavor. I slowly exhale through the mouth and nose, thoroughly enjoying the lasting finish. I understand there was some question regarding the authenticity of these cigars. Rest assured, this was definitely the genuine article…down to the nub.
Bolis!!!
