Bored at Work

I'm here sitting away most of my morning, waiting for lunchtime...
I notice alot of you post during the daytime during work hours.
I find myself clicking "View New Posts" Several times during every hour haha.
:p

I sit in an airconditioned office awaiting patients daily. Patched into the cable hook up and have been mooching off the companies services ever since ! hahahaha

Eye doctor is a great profession. Summers in Buffalo mean scantily clad women (from SUNY at Buffalo, just down the street). Which means, with A/C on high, women come in and .... well, you get the picture. Its tough working with 2 sets of eyes looking atcha!

I love my job!!!
:)

interesting?

....hmmm, well I just heard a loud boom with a nice little concusion to follow, probably a rocket or mortar round landed, I guess that's sort of interesting.

I am sure that you have had the pleasure of the out-going arty wakeup call at 0500 as I did at Speicher. Definitley better than the sound of in-coming, but still just as disturbing.

i used to fart in an empty coofee can and leave it in the middle of the table sealed with a "FREE" sign on it. co workers hated that... so did my mom :)

does that count as interesting?

friend of mine does screen printing of tshirts.. his latest best seller is a plain white tshirt with very small font on the pocket that you have to get really close to read. it says

"nosey fucker aren't ya?"

Eek.... Does something like that happen every day? What's your job title? Obviously not general infantry, but did you used to be out in the field?

Yeah, it happens about every day, mostly at night, but you get used to it believe it or not. Our base is pretty damned large, so the odds of one hitting close enough to take you out are pretty slim, but I guess you never know.

Not an Infantry guy, I leave that up to folks like xRanger :p , I'm a Quartermaster guy, we basically run resupply convoys. But my position is mainly property acquisition/accountability and some Plans work. So the only danger I really get into is those stray mortar rounds, rockets, and occasional paper cuts (I got a doozie today  ).

Brick,

I feel for you, man. War isn't what it was 20 yrs ago. Being there twice already, I know that Haji doesn't care what your MOS is. He launches rockets and morters without prejudice. CLPs are as dangerous as any patrol from any previous conflict. Keep your head down, stay safe, and remember to duck.
