Box Codes

As a newb to cigars and cigarpass, I was checking out the Cuban box codes and wondering if we should expect any updates, as the last was in Feb?
(I did attempt to find an answer myself before posting this question!)


Though, I see from a search that box codes should largely be ignored from now on - is this true, and if so why?

Not sure how often Rod gets to update them, but you are right, box codes are largely unimportant anymore; at least for the sake of trying to find out the code for the specific factory you want. The factory codes that are used today change from month to month and even from factory to factory, so it is is nigh impossible to tell where a box of cigars came out of. But, imo, this really isn't a big deal anymore because the quality control in Cuba is much better in all factories than it was in the past.

Ah, well in that case, the list provides a good starting point, but it is by no means all inclusive.
