Is there any etiquette on splitting boxes that I should be aware of? I'd like to buy a couple boxes of my favorites to stock up my humidor. 10 of each would be fine for me and allow me to half the price if someone was interested in the other half (or 5ers going out, etc.). These aren't premium brands or anything and will be ordered from a common place, so I'm not really getting anyone a deal (other than in on just half a box).

Seems like _the_ definition of a box split to me, but just asking to make sure. :)

If you are buying with the specific intent of splitting you might want to test the waters and see if anyone wants to do the split first. Beyond that, you seem to have it covered.

What are you ordering? Cost?

Let us know what is on the plate and you may get some interested parties who want to jump on board.

Yeah, I'll throw the offer out there first and see who's interested, if anyone. Was just asking about the process to make sure. I probably won't order until closer to the end of the month.

Haven't decided yet, but was thinking a box of RP Fusion Robustos and a box of LCG Serie R #5. Two faves that I wouldn't mind stocking up on, but that may change before I throw the offer out there. I'm not buying right now.

The big trick around here is that folks who offer box splits are doing so to help other out. There should be no profit of any kind involved. For example, if you order a box of cigars, and you have to pay shipping to get it to you, folks don't usually include that in the cost of the cigar to others. You can ask that someone splitting with you pay for shipping the cigars from you to them, that's ok, but they should not have to pay shipping twice. Also, no one should ever think of increasing the cost in an effort to get themselves free smokes out of the deal. In fact, if you're trying to split off a box because it's getting you a free ashtray, for example, that's fine as long as you are up front about it and not trying to hide anything.

It all boils down to honesty. We are not here to make a buck off of each other. That's not what this community is about.
