I am posting to inform all of you that this past weekend 2 very well liked members of this community lost almost everything they had in a house fire. It seems that insurance WILL NOT be covering anything. Dustin (LascivousXXX) and his wife Echo (XXXPuppy) are fine, but would benefit greatly from a show of support. A bunch of us have discussed how we might have the biggest impact on helping to "right their ship" and we have come up with the following:
1) We need 25 people who would like to donate $50.00 to get Dustin a new humi, which is being offered (at a loss mind you) by one of our members here. It's an Aristocrat Plus and while it won't "replace" the custom humidor Dustin had, which was lost in the fire, it will certainly be greatly appreciated. (If more than 25 people choose to donate for this cause any amount of money beyond needed will be used for the below #2)
2) We need as many people as possible to send $20.00 (or more) in the form of cash, MO, check, etc. or a gift card to a national chain (ie. Walmart, which I have checked and there is one near them), so we can help them to get some of the "life essentials" they are going to need. A cigar (or more than one) to help fill the humidor would be nice to send with this contribution.
The above options are what we came up with as a small group. They are not the only options, ANY AND ALL DONATIONS WOULD BE GREAT!
We all came together here because of cigars, but life is not about cigars or any other number of things people most often think. IT IS about moments like this and how a group rallies around a member in need.
