Being on a limited budget myself, I bought the Flor de Olivas, the Sancho Panza DMs, Punch elites(they used to be in that range, and I guess the london clubs still are). The Flor de Olivas and Punches are ok for what they are, but I'm not particularly enjoying the Sancho Panzas at all. I had one yesterday that I thought was terrible. I guess thats all subjective though. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of them and don't want to get stuck with a bunch more looking for other cheap smokes. They're really no substitute for a good cigar. I would rather devote my time, resources and humidor space to better sticks that I can smoke less often. I'd like to try some of the others mentioned, but not if I have to buy a bundle or a box.

Not exactly the price point your looking for but a really good maduro for a buck more than you want. I've had the robusto, belicoso, and the mini-belicoso and like the latter the best, just because it doesn't take 1.5 hours to smoke.

I also heard the Sancho Panza Double maduro is a great smoke for the $$$.
