To all Sabres fans here, enjoy the game. I know I will.... a massive cigar in mouth and beer in hand. Sabres up in the series 2 game (both won on the road).

If we don't get to the finals, here's to one helluva ride, Buffalo! Lindy Ruff and all the guys, I salute you for a great season (and post season) so far.

I'm a little worried since we're down Connolly and Kalinin but the way Miller is playing I still think a sweep is possible.

yes, last nights game was a nail biter for sure but the boys pulled it out in the first 5 plus minutes of overtime. Rumor has it that Hasek will be in net tonight to throw us off. Its going to be one helluva of a bender tonight at the HSBC arena, but if we sweep I'll be doing some celebrating all my own!

Last night I smoked a massive Cohiba (damn, name exacpes me now, but the cigar size was 7 inches by 50 ring gauge, estimated), Edicion Limitada. Smoked like a dream and was lit right up until the overtime period. What a night!

Whats that? Do I hear the fat lady clearing her throat?!?!?!

I hope so (knocks on wood).

Damn rainstorm took out the satellite signal halfway through the second... We ended up having to trek a couple blocks in a monsoon. Oh well, maybe they can pull it off Saturday. I was really hoping for the win tonight to avoid that extra trip out of town (not that it's far) and the extra rest...

Yeah, you said a mouthful. I was on the porch of my buddies house enjoying a single malt scotch and a cigar and the Sabres were losing their own game. I'll give kudos where they are due, and Ottawa were the better team yesterday.

Lets hope the Sabres can pull it off in Ottawa tomorrow night. I'll be watching.

That was a great goal in OT! Pominville used his speed and blew by Alfredsson. I still can't believe they let Drury walk right in there on his goal; the defensemen must've thought somebody was waiting at the backdoor... BRING ON CAROLINA!

Has anybody heard anything about Connelly? I hope he's not out for the season, but that seems like a good possibility given his history with concussions...
