I have smoked through a box or two of these in the past years, but today I found something nasty I have never seen before in any cigar!

The Cigar: Caldwell 22 minutes to midnight - maduro corona extra

The problem: After cutting the cap off, I smoked for a few minutes and then looked at the cut tip and noticed something off color wise. Sometimes you see different color tobacco, but this was different...it was white. I pinched it and plucked it out and WHAT THE FUCK is this???

I have never seen anything like this, but it grossed me out and is NOT something I expected to find in this brand! These are not cheap cigars at $320 a box. I have heard of rat hair and shit being in fake CCs, but this is really weird. I almost want to write Caldwell and find out why or how this could happen.

Anyone else found something like this?

Write Caldwell and the vendor both, letting them know.

I will see if I can figure out how to get ahold of Caldwell. This cigar was taken in @CBoukal pass and I assume its the box split him and I did a year or so ago; so not sure of the vendor.

I did find a customer service contact, but it might be quicker to message them in FB/IG.

What is it? A chunk of twine? Hairball? Any idea?

It looks like those are rolled at William Ventura.

Reminds me of the Costco pizza I had a few years ago. Brought a whole new meaning to the term hair pie. I ate a slice and literally had a huge hair ball in my mouth. Upon inspecting the rest of the pizza, it was covered in hair. My assumption was the dough fell on the floor and the jackass making it just picked it up and continued making it. It was literally covered in someone’s nasty hair.

Returned it and Costco offered a free pizza. Like I was about to try it again. Been turned off to Costco pizza ever since. If I could only describe the mouth feel… at first I thought it was a clump of burnt Parmesan, but when it got tangled in my teeth I knew I was in trouble… 🤮

I can understand a single random hair getting in once in a while, it's bound to happen. But what you're describing...blech!

Yeah, unfortunately finding a single hair didn’t happen often but it did occasionally. This experience however took it to a whole new level.

Not Caldwel but I found broom straw, plastic pieces, and hair before. Only 1 time in a long filler though and that was the hair.
