Here is your chance to win over a box worth of cigars!!! Come join us on Wednesday nights in the poker room. If you play your cards right, you could win up to 27 cigars!!! :0

Buy in is 3 cigars. The table sits 10 people and all sticks go to the winner. So at a full table, that means 9 people will be sending 3 sticks to the winner! That's 27 smokes free of charge. :cool:

We've got some big ideas for the poker room, that would make it even more exciting and fun! But we need more players!

If you are interested, please post in this thread. If there is enough interest, we may be able to do this several times a week in order to accomodate more than 10 regular players.

So, please speak up!!! :)
 
What times do you guys play and what level are the smokes?

I'm too lazy to look at the other thread, so I'm asking :whistling:

The game is currently slated for 10pm CST, but the idea of moving it to an earlier time has been brought up. What are everyone's thoughts on the game time?

I wouldn't want to limit it to super premiums and ISOMs as it wouldn't allow some people to play regularly. But, if there is enough interest, maybe we can do 2 games a week. A low and a high stakes game?

Something like this maybe:

Low stakes = good smokes (but nothing fancy) Wednesday
High stakes = super premiums & ISOMs only Friday

I'd be in for that as well.

As for the Wednesday night games, they start too late for me. I'm usually asleep by 10 pm CST.
 
As for the time, I'd prefer to start at 8 Central, which is 7pm for me. I like the idea of a monthly "high end" game as well.

For Wednesday's games, we've been playing for "non-dog rockets" which leaves a lot room for interpretation. My guideline when folks ask me what they should send is "just send whatever you like to smoke." Personally, I would not send out any stick that I don't enjoy smoking, regardless of price.
 
High stakes is cool w/ me too, but no more than once a month. In fact maybe even every other month. I would also like to see maybe that game be scheduled for like Friday or Sat night. Even Sunday nights would be good too, so as not to take a regular Wed's night game away from the po' folk.

I agree with Hawk on the start time . .6PDT, 7MDT, 8CDT, 9EDT. That would be perfect.
 
I would also be down for a premium game.

If you are going to have 2 games in one night why not have them at differetn times to accommodate all players. Have a 8 eastern game and a 8 pacific game.

I'm game. :) Pretty much anytime I can make it. 10 CST (9 MST) works for me, cuz by then the family is winding down. 8 CST (7 MST) is right around dinner, so that would be more difficult for me. But hey .. whatever happens, happens.

BTW, I just found this site today and signed up. I didn't find a FAQ :blush: , so can someone clarify ISOM for me? Also, I am pretty new to smoking cigars, but am really enjoying it. So, I may not really know what the stogies are worth in the realm of things. Pleast LMK if the three I have up for ante just won't cut it.

8 eastern would be great for me! I haven't seen how the tournament tables work, but if the anti keeps raising at regular intervals, it would keep the games from lasting a few hours, and keep them interesting as well.

I'll be keeping an eye out for tomorrow nights game, and try to be there by 8pm.
If someone is planning it any earlier, please shoot me a pm and I will try to make it. Looking forward to playing again, :thumbs:

8PM Central is 9 for me and I should have no problems with that on Wednesday. I agree with the Premium game as well. Im in on both regards...

and ISOM to me is "In Search of Money" :)

How does 8:30 eastern sound? I know it's too early for the west coasters, but at least the people in the midwest and east can play at a decent hour. 3 stick buy in, no junk sticks or yard gars, and maybe we can figure out how to raise ante's and keep the time to a decent hour.
