Here's a snippet of a post I made on another board. It's a list of select items I looked at in one of the biggest shops I've ever been in. This place was fairly busy, so I'd highly doubt if they were priced out of the local market.



Here's the full list of what I took prices on in the shop.

I was in one big shop, so I can't compare prices amongst other stores in the area. Suffice to say this place seemed very busy so I highly doubt they're priced out of the local market.

WOW...you could get fivers for most of those prices. Even when converted to USD that is extremely high.
 
multiply by 5 and you got your CDN prices... OH! and don't forget to add the 15% sales tax, so the Cohiba VI Tube is Actually $80 plus 15% or $92!
 
While our prices on Cuban cigars isn't as crazy as yours

here in Germany a (for example)

Padron 1964 Anniversario - Torpedo Maduro = 38€ each

thats around 48 USD or 54 CDN

So we aren't too far behind.

Sucks don't it :-/
 
I'm surprised the Canadian prices are higher than UK's.

1 Cohiba Robusto is about £14, $28 CAD.

I guess the Canadian government wants you lot so quit smoking even more than our government.

Yeah right, if they really wanted people to quit smoking they would make all tobacco products illegal. They're still happy to collect taxes on it so they don't REALLY want to ban it.
