Haven't been in the mood to visit here lately. My wife has been sick and has now been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the blood/bone marrow) and I just do not feel like smoking, etc.

MM has no cure although it can be put into remission temporaly. Generally, 2-3 years is average life span but new drugs could be on the horizon.

I assume at this point that resources will become tight and I will need to liquidate my cigar inventory to help pay bills at some point as we live a modest means.

She is 37 and we have a 7 year old daughter and a 5 year old son so this is very hard for all of us to deal with.

Please pray for us.

Mike

My family's thoughts and prayers are with you.

If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know...

I am extremely sorry to hear that Gunpowder. My thoughts are with your family. And to 2nd what George said, if there is anyway I can help please let me know.

GP my thoughts and prayers are with your wife, you and your family. You can check here for addtional information. There are some clinical trials available around the country.

A notable person with MM in remision is Mel Stotylmere the pitching coach of the Yankees. Who works every day!

All the best.

I wish you and your family the best. Having recently lost 2 family members to cancer within 8 months of each other(in Feb and Oct 2003), I would like to offer any help and support possible from Japan. At least you are in our thoughts and prayers.
