Kingantz
Growing too fast.
This is a huge cigar with a hefty weight in the hand and a dark brow wrapper that has one prominent vein running down one side. I of course use the largest ring on my punch knife to open the cap and find the draw a little on the tight side, however air is still flowing well enough.
It takes a little time to get the huge foot torched and burning good, however after a good minute or so it comes to life and smoke is flowing well. I get a nice amount of white pepper spice from the first draw and a good vanilla bean flavor with lots of dark earth underneath. The smoke is a good medium body with a very nice, lasting finish on the palate after exhaling.
The burn is good with a firm ash forming that is mottled dark and light gray. It holds strong until ashed at a bout an inch or so. There’s very good flavors continuing to come through in the medium bodied smoke, that of vanilla bean and a dark, moist earth with hints of roasted nuts. The finish continues to last well on the palate with good flavors.
CAO Italia, if I remember correctly, was one of the first boxes I purchased when I first started smoking cigars, and always did enjoy them. I really like the smooth, vanilla bean taste that comes through and a good earthiness. It’s been a while since I’ve had an Italia, and this one brought back some good memories of why I liked them. Very enjoyable smoke to my palate.
