Casa Royale by DP

Has anyone tried these yet? I just got my Holt's catalog and I see DP has another line out, supposedly exclusively for Holt's made in NC.

Unfortunately not out yet. I was told the end of the week. Definitely worth a try if the wrapper is like the black label. I'm just hoping it really is a 'thick' sun grown.

On a somewhat related note...when I got my catalog I got really excited for the sampler featured on the front. I was ready to pick up the phone when I got in from the mailbox to order a couple. I was pretty disappointed when I figured out it wasn't a sampler. Would have been a great one.

Ha! Me too. I looked through the catalog 3 times thinking I missed it.

I ordered the CR sampler pack and a Holt's Connoisseur fiver (supposedly also by DPG) last week on-line, checked out, then got an e-mail the next day saying they're on back-order and not sure when it'll be in stock. Oh, but they did ship the fiver and charge me $7 shipping.

Casa Royale line is certainly priced nicely. I was reading the cat last night and kept coming back to them. Budget is blown t the moment but it might be worth a box. If they turn out to be good maybe someone can persuade the man himself to roll a few lanceros for us. :thumbs:
