I need some advice.
Which is better for a nice weekend with the Mrs. . .The Borgata in AC or Mohegan Sun in CT?

Note: This isn’t a weekend for me (I’ll be there of course, but) it’s for my wife. For the purpose of this post, I couldn’t care less about the cigar selection, the craps tables, or the hot cocktail waitresses. ;)

Both these places have spas, and both claim to have nice restaurants, etc. But which is better for a lady to enjoy herself? I was thinking CT since it is close to the aquarium (she loves marine animals). But, I’d like an opinion from someone who’s been to either (or both) of these places.

Basically, (for those that have been to Vegas) I want a place more-like the Bellagio and less-like the stratosphere. And, yes, before anyone asks, my choices are limited to the Borgata or Mohegan Sun.

Thanks, in advance, for any help! :)

Absolutely 100% the Borgata. No contest. Make reservations at the Italian restaurant for dinner. Send her to the spa. It's a million times nicer than anything outside of Vegas.

Went to a comedy show over at the Borgata back in June! Sweet hotel and casino!!

I saw Basil there with a couple of other comedians. I have never laughed so hard!!

It ain't cheap though....

Have fun!

Just do what I do.. Lose a ton of money there and stay for free whenever you want. :0

Absolutely 100% the Mohegan Sun. No contest. Make reservations at Todd's English Tuscany for dinner. It's two million times nicer than anything outside of Vegas.

Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, Stonington Vineyard, Olde Mystic Shopping Village, historic downtown Mystic, Stonington Borough, I could go on and on.

Of course AC is "lovely" about two blocks away from the casinos  be sure to not step on the drunks and the crack heads if you venture more than 200 yards from the casinos. ;) and keep your wallet in your front pocket.

I should have added to my post.. If you want stuff to do outside of the actual casino, than Mohegan is probably much better. If you're in AC you only leave the casino to go to another casino or possibly a few places I'm sure you wouldn't be going to with your wife.

Thanks guys!
I really appreciate the advice! Sounds like, either would be a fine choice as far as the actual establishment; but, CT offers better surroundings (for "couples" anyway).
Thanks again! :)
