cbid is dangerous

So I've been monitoring the auctions for a while....haven't bid in months. Late last week, I bid on some smokes just to put in the bottom of the humidor and to have something to trade. Of course, I win. Then since I have my profile set to once a week shipping, I start thinking well, I might as well bid on some other stuff since I have a few days before the shipping deadline.

I started off bidding on a 5-pack and I'll bet I end with a couple of boxes and several 5-packs.

When will the madness end? Wednesday!

Cheers,
Joe

Dangerously close to my 100th post!

You'd better believe it's dangerous! I just got an email today, La Vieja Habanos are up for bid, 24-count box for 39.95.

It seems like it's one of those impulse things, I'll stay away for a few weeks, then one night I'll go on, and end up bidding on several things, and usually winning!

Dangerous is not exactly an accurate term. Cbid is pure evil!!!

My most recently won auction ships today.

Agreed, I think especially for us noobs it can be dangerous. There is so much stuff I want to try or crap I could use there at such low prices.

The other day I got a 5 pack of sherpas for $5 and a box of tubos for $25. Can't beat it.

NOPE!!!

Cuz you'll bid on something that ends on Thursday or Friday and win. Then, just like the week before.... might as well make the shipping worth it and bid on some more lots. :whistling:

Been there done that. :sign:

OK no first names here in CBid Anonymous. My name is Jason and I have a problem with CBid. :(

I have been "Bid-Free" for a week now. [applause from the crowd] However, I just received my latest package and it got me tempted and I visited the site  [collective groan from the crowd] I held strong though and did not even put any items on my "watch list" [more applause]

My humi is almost full and I have a varied collection of smokes for trades and personal consumption. I will be strong. [fellow member pats me on the back]

OK who is next for confessional?

Wow . . . I thought my last post would get a few comments or chuckles :(

Apparently the CBid "addiction" is a bit more serious than we all thought. Not many out there willing to talk about it yet.

I am still "Bid Free" for more than a week.

Hang in there Jason, it's not you, it's just that no one wants to admit to this type of addiction!

Myself, I've been cbid free for a week now, last thing I bought was that special they ran with the cutter and 4 sticks!

Just don't go there, and you will be ok! Be strong, and....support your local tobacconist as well.

Hey, I thought it was funny!

CBID is apparently pretty dangerous for a lot of folks. One of the auctions I bid on went over retail. What's up with that? Talk about a frenzy. It's hard enough explaining the boxes of cigars arriving in the mail, but at least I get to say "Yea honey those are more cigars. I bought those on the cigar Auction site and I got a really good deal!"

Can you see saying "Yea honey I got those on the auction site and I got so carried away with winning, I paid over retail!" ha, ha, ha

Whoever outbid me on the HDM Excalibur 1066's....Enjoy 'em!

Cheers,
Joe

Buy yourself a bigger humidor (OK, much bigger) and enjoy. No more first name only meetings. No more lousy coffee in styro cups. Buy those damn cigars and when the package some in say, "Look what I got, baby. Yeah." Then, get on-line and do it all again. :p

I just love a little well-placed corruption.

I have only been smoking cigars daily for a little over 6 months now, In those 6 months I went from a 100ct Humi to a 1500ct Humi all because I discovered CBid and the wonder cigars of the world.

Actually, I avoid the inevitable "fight" when another package arrives by having all packages shipped to my office. I know its shameful but it keeps the peace.

I know your dilema...I started of thinking a lil' 50ct would do, until I REALLY started to "enjoy" a cigar instead of smoke one. I had to get a bigger one, a 125ct...only to realize that CBid was way too coool. Next came the 250, and I use the 125 for ISOM's and the lil'fiddy as a summer porch humidor. I tell you what...CBid's my daily hit, even before email.

Doc says there's a pill for that.

cbid strikes again! Just won another auction tonight. Finally picked up a xikar (metallic blue) for $21. :D

Addiction? What addiction? :whistling:

Oh thats a great price! Are there any more do you think? Maybe I will go check . . . one bid, one auction can't hurt right. I am in control of the bidding.

Nice price considering the last Xikar Xi2 I won on Cbid I got for $80 . . . what a steal . . . I beat out all them suckers :p
