Since becoming a member here I've been blessed to have made many great friends and Bruddahs! The members here are some of the best herfing buddies around and I wanted to celebrate my birthday by including some of my Bruddahs. I don't make it to the mainland too often so being able to herf with my Bruddahs was out of the question on this b-day so I did the next best thing.... I fired up a couple of cigars that were sent to me to help celebrate!
My Birthday-Eve Smoke.... Partagas 150th Anniversary AA sent to me by Bruddah Leebo! I should correct that.... this was one of the cigars that Leebo BOMBED me with... LOL! I've never been a big fan of the P150 cigars.... I've always felt that they were good smokes but not worth the high price tag and a regular Partagas or AF Don Carlos was just as good. Well... let me tell you that Leebo's gift to me changed my mind!
I have a few of the P150's in my collection and Leebo included a AA in his bomb. Since I now had another AA in my collection I added one of my AA's to FT's Pass and had Leebo's stick sitting in the cooler along with his other bomb components. Last night I wanted to enjoy a cigar to kick off my b-day and started digging through the cooler.... for some reason I kept looking back at the P150 as if it was asking to be smoked. Since it was late I didn't want something too strong and decided to fire up the AA. WOW! What a great smoke.... the cigar was absolutely gorgeous... not a flaw to be found and the draw was perfect. It was a solid medium in strength and body but was loaded with flavor.... the cameroon spice was evident but not overpowering and the flavor kept building with every pull. This was the perfect cigar for the night.... very satisfying and helped to relax me after a long day at work. Thank you Bruddah Leebo for getting my birthday celebration off to a wonderful start! :thumbs:

Today, I was able to get home a little early and decided to celebrate with Big Worm! I pulled a Don Carlos No. 2 that I just got from Ryan and headed outside before dinner. This DC had some age on it and the toothy wrapper and perfect construction was just beautiful. This cigar was perfect for the early evening.... tons of flavor and cameroon spice but not overpowering... this cigar was complex and the flavor increased with every puff. I love the Don Carlos line and this cigar just reminded me of that fact... truly a great smoke! I washed it down with a cold brewski (or 4... LOL) and I was ready for my birthday dinner with my family!
The dinner was great... tons of great food and being able to enjoy it with my family was wonderful. I thought I was too old for gifts but my daughter gave me a pair of new binoculars (to watch the Univ of Hawaii Warriors) and my aunt gave me an Ichiro bobble-head doll.... way cool! I had planned to celebrate after dinner with none other than DMC but it wasn't to be...
Everyone left not too long ago and I'm too stuffed and tired for a 'gar.... but don't worry Brother Devin... I'll be celebrating with you tomorrow for sure!
Thanks to everyone for the great B-Day wishes and thanks to my CP Brothers... Leebo & BigWorm for celebrating with me! I also want to thank Devin in advance! CigarPass isn't just about Box Passes... it's about the friendships and the Brotherhood amongst us Lovers of the Leaf! I couldn't think of a better bunch of guys to share my birthday with!
