I'll be in Chicago for one night, November 1. DOn't know where, but will probably be at a hotel near:
The University of Chicago
Gleacher Center
450 N. Cityfront Plaza Drive
Chicago, IL 60611

Anyone want to meet up and smoke/drink/eat (not neccesarily in that order).
OR, anyone able to recommend the best place to do all three of those things?
 
A wed night. SOunds like a plan.

We can meet up for dinner and a smoke.

Let me know as the date gets closer so I can search for places near hyde park and or downtown.

Mortons and Gibsons seems to hit the right spot.


Or we can do Ditka's upstairs Cigar lounge and have some burgers and or porkchops!!

Just saw this, Moki. Jack Schwartz is on my "if I have a minute to spare" list of things to do!

Alex...sounds great! Let me know what you find in that area. I hope to be in by 7 or so on the 1st.
 
We an do either.

Gibsons - steak and cigars
mortons steak and cigars
Ditka's - steak hamburgers porkchops and DITKA..LOL!
 
Best place to smoke IMO, is the smoking lounge in the Peninsula Hotel. Great atmosphere, fairly quiet for a conversation, comfy sofas and all sorts of high end liquor and very cigar friendly.
Agree with Morton,s. You can add Capitol Grille and the new and acclaimed PrimeHouse in the James Hotel to that list.
