What type of glue does one use to make the cigar bands whole again? I would like to put them back on the cigar again without them falling off.

I believe you are looking for pectin.

It's commonly used in canning.

The easiest way to buy it is in liquid ready to use form, it comes in small foil pouches, and should be readily available in any large supermarket.

A commonly available brand is Certo.

Hope this helps.

I've had success with tiny bits of double sided tape, which saved a trip to the store.
It's definitely not as 'purist' a method though..

At the H. Upmann and La Corona factories recently visited, they used a flour/water paste just like Gandma used to make for us to stick stuff in our scrapbooks.

Still sticking things in scrapbooks but now I use a gluestick.

Some like to use corn starch for the bands as well as cigar repair. John
