Cigar Box Computers

Am I missing pics here? All I see is a dude holding what looks to be a box.
They ask, "where's the pc?" That's what I'd like to know.

The PC is in the box! Nice concept, but I use a laptop.

That much I understand. But it still remains hidden. Or am I just not seeing a functioning keyboard, etc.?? It'd be nice to seem some close ups, various shots, angles, etc. Just like porn. Unless that's proprietary stuff they don't want to show, except from a distance (like some porn).

Well, I clicked on one of the links, and it shows a cigarbox, with a monitor and keyboard. Assuming that you supply the monitor and keyboard, I find it hard to pay $2k for the Cigarbox PC.

That I missed....and yep, I agree.

This guy is much better at it. Some cool designs too.

Nothing like HOT CPU air being circulated over your cigars. Or just the warmth of having a computer under the cigars.. HORRIBLE idea if you ask me.

I just don't see the point.

I think it's kind of like those guys that make Altoids tins into radios or people that make humidors out of ammo boxes or kitchen cabinets :whistling: ;) . It's just taking an everyday object and turning it into something unexpected.

It's a neat idea for a cigar store PC, but the price tag is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not surprised that this guy may have a market. That people can collect things really is abstract to me. As for me, I'm just practical! :whistling:

I've come to the conclusion that I simply don't understand this idea.

I thought, or rather assumed, the "cigar box" would be empty, into which the computer/cpu would be "installed." Is this being done with a FULL box of cigars? Even the "Altoid tin" radio thing...that's with EMPTY tins, is it not? Is this any different?

In either case, it's something I have no interest in whatsoever.

Is this being done with a FULL box of cigars?

I assume the tubes are empty.

As for this entire idea, people are tired of beige/black box computers! Most people want something special that they can relate to or goes along with their interests. There's a huge computer modding community out there to fit computers into nearly everything. There's also a very high class market out there for computer cases, monitor enclosures and even keyboards and mice to be made out of exotic woods and stone.

You don't have to like it or being willing to shell out the money (it'd just take away from the cigar budget, right!?), but many people will. :)

Edit to add:

Wood computers and accessories
Wood laptops
Stone mouse
Stone and wood computers and peripherals

Sounds like the title of this post should be:

"How I hide my porn from my significant other"

It would work great as a hidden computer for a security camera setup. But I liked this LINK I found on that site better  . I think I wants one! :D

I'd Like to know where to find that humidor (second down on the right) It has that Frank Lloyd Wright "look" .

edited to get Mr. Wright's name spelled right
