Hola

So I have this friend (no really this is not a story about an obscure rash so it really is a friend) who goes through the same process every time he gets cigars. Fridge for a day, freezer for 4, fridge for 2, into his 'dor.

He swears by this method to destoy any beetle infestation. This is a guy who greatly treasures his cigars so I know he would not do anything to hurt them but I never hear anyone else speaking of this method.

Does anyone here go through this or do this? Seems like a reasonable process to safeguard your stash.

I do it too. But I will always take 1 or 2 out to smoke 1st while they are in the freezing and resting process. I've seen pictures of beetle infested cigars and they give me nightmares. I figure better safe than sorry. I always puts the boxes in bags 1st and leave them in there until they are thawed. It has never hurt any of my cigars.

This is why you do it.......

Ouch, that doesn't look like something fun to find; I think I would cry. I've always been wary of freezing cigars, but I think you guys talked me into trying it with some of the smokes I plan to age for a while...
