You just need to trace the funding, and you will see the truth. It's always about the money. Anti-smoking is rather profitable at the moment, thanks to all the payoffs lobbyists are getting directly from tobacco sales (check out the huge 'big tobacco' settlement terms that created this ironic twist). Not to mention the 'big pharmaceuticals' hunger to turn all smokers into nicotine gum addicts.

Pathetic. People need to think for themselves. Sure there is a risk in excess tobacco consumption, but anything in excess will harm you. If the nannys in government really wanted to guide us to better living, they would simply run a advertising campaign all about moderation and balance. That would make real sense.
