Hello,

I was wondering how I could send cigars to the troops. I have bunch of sticks that I can let go. How would I go about sending them? Is is possible?
I thought I saw tread here once, however I can not find it.

Thanks,

GKR

Thanks, for sure I will send some gars. I was flipping through one of the cigar magz and I saw few guys in a tank playing cards and having a smoke. I thought they would apperciate some ciagrs while palying a hand.

our store is thinking about doing this. owners idea is to ask a few companys to sell us a select number of cigars at a larger discount, then just add the 10% tob.tax to the cigar. people would be able to buy the cigars and drop them in a collection box with a small postcard for messages.we would also have a place to send other items usually asked for by our troops. we would run the collection for a month at a time then send the items to iraq through a group he found on the web,(cant remember the name right now).

would you buy and drop a few sticks for the troops, given the easy opportunity?

Alot of us here are Active Duty military and have friends or know units that are there right now. We can always aquire unit addresses and you can ship to troops direct using USPS Priority. Alternatively, we can ship free from a US military base, although the mail takes longer to be received. I just sent a box off to a friend in Afghanistan a month or two ago.

Sending the cigars direct sounds good to me. This way I know it is getting there and the person receving it is a cigar smoker who will enjoy his package.

PM me if you have someone in mind.

Thanks

I have some buds taking over a new JSOCC (Joint Special Ops Component Command) here in the next quarter. They'll be gone for 180 days or so. I know a few guys and gals in Iraq right now, too. I'll look to get some contact info.
