During my adventures through this great hobby that we all share, I have smoked MANY cigars, but more importantly MANY different cigars. Just because someone said it was a dog rocket, If I haven't smoked it, I will try it to form my own opinion.
Over the past couple of years I have seen my palette venture for the more complex cigars, but I have thought about grabbing some of the smokes that I started out with; in short "revisit" some previoulsy smoked cigars to see if my opinion of them is still the same.

What cigars have you smoked that you haven't had in a long time that when you smoked it again, it was a pleasent surprise of what you had remembered?
 
Gurkha Master's Select Perfecto #2

I bought them in March 06, and they tasted like hay. Last week I found them in the bottom of the cooler , and man, what a difference!!
Smooth, pleasant taste, great burn. Really enjoyable smoke. I wish I bought more now! :laugh:
 
LMAO, if I tried to "revisit" it would only be within 5 months or so. :) Hehe, kinda funny to me anyways!
 
That would have to be Indian Tabac Super Fuerte.
I have some left from a box in Natural which are aging quite nicely. Although there are plenty of better cigars out there I would definitely buy another box of these to sit on for a while, but I think in Maduro next time..
 
Don Carlos Robusto. Hated when I first tried it, then I thought I'd give it another shot about 2 months ago and couldn't figure out what the hell I was thinking. A good cigar.

Yep I loved these when I first started back into NC cigars full-time and I still love them now.

along with 5 vegas 'A' and RP Sungrowns.

Cigars I started out with after joining CP and ones I still like to smoke now.

I'm not going back to Quorum though, I have to draw the line somewhere lol
 
Speaking of Quorum, I was at the state fair with a friend. He had brought a few Quorum's to smoke. They had been in his humi for over a year. Believe it or not, they were pretty damn good.

Maybe it's kind of like a hotdog tastes good at a ballgame...maybe quorums are the right cigar for state fairs.

I have a couple of sticks buried that I thought sucked a few years ago...maybe I'll pull one out tonight in honor of the thread and see if it's/I've changed over time.

I like these as well. I actually prefer the naturals even though I almost always reach for maduros in general. The IT maduros all taste like mud to me.

I got 3 bundles of these not too long ago when they had them on the CI special daily deal thing. 20 cigars for $29.99 with free shipping. I couldn't pass it up!
 
I used to smoke DPG Blue Labels like they were going out of business and unfortunately got tired of them. While I still had a couple boxes left in my humi, I gave them the summer off and just started smoking them again recently. I'm happy to say that they're back in my regular rotation; however, this time I'll try not to over do it! :D
 
I got away from PAM / PAN's for a while and had a PAN '64 torp some time back that just blew my socks off. I'd forgotten how much l liked the regular Padron wrapper smokes...... :love:

I started out on Cuesta-Rey, as that was the only thing they sold at the Post Exchange when I was in Iraq the first time. I hadn't smoked one since 2005 until this week when I was stuck at a location where they didn't sell ISOM smokes. Good smoke that brought back some found memories from the past.
