This really pisses me off. I had my truck broken into tonight. The resale value of everything they took was probably about $5. Two crappy-ass bass tube speakers that I paid $10 each for, a board game (why the hell did they take that?) and what really pisses me off, my humidor with my everyday sticks in it. At least I didn't have anything super special in there, except for a 5-pack that I just got from a BOTL. Didn't even get a chance to try them. The damage they did to the truck breaking in far exceeds the value of what they took. Frickin brainless idiots. They won't be able to sell any of that crap. Argh. Sorry for the language, I just had to vent. And don't bomb me with anything, I'm not asking for that. The humidor was a CI freebie. My insurance will cover the door handle damage, and the dome light they smashed.
 
Sorry to hear aout your bad luck. Believe me, I know how you feel. Unfortunately it's a sign of the times and it's becoming more prevalent(sp) everyday. Buy yourself that special cigar you've been meaning to get.
 
Oh how I'd like to catch someone pulling the "random act of (un)kindness"... I've been bent about my wife's car being broken into and her purse taken off the pass side floor. They didn't even touch the briefcase on the seat. The hassle of credit card shutdowns and the like were a pain that will prob never go away...
 
November 2006 me and the Ms were at the movie theater to see Stranger than Fiction. Well when the movie let out, I ran out to get my truck and pick her up at the door. I noticed these little high school girls all standing around my truck. I quickly got nervous and just asked "What? Did you hit my truck?". She turns and said "No, it got broken into, just like mine". After I yelled a few colorful words, Ms KB ran over and we soon discovered someone broke in, just for her purse. They broke in 5 vehicles and all they stole were purses. My wallet, PDA phone, jacket, and cds were all in my truck, but they lifted up the seat, and took her purse. Assholes.
 
Wow. That totally sucks. :(

I suspect it's going to get worse. There tends to be more crime during times of recession because people get desperate.
 
It has happened to a neighbor of mine and it really is annoying and sucks, big time.

Makes you wonder why a fish will bite a rubber worm. Don't even leave so much as a box of kleenex sitting (out) on the seat. Some dumb fish will want to bite.
 
The humidor was my truckador, I keep it in there to keep cigars fresh during the day. It was a "free w/ purchase" deal from CI. I have 2 more of them, so it's not a big deal. It just sucks to have it happen. I've been meaning to get an alarm for a while now, I waited too long it seems. Now I gotta do police report, insurance, all that BS.
