What, exactly, is the purpose of the "Friends" listing in the profiles? I've been looking and can't seem to come up with anything useful I can do with this.

I use it to list people I consider friends and people I've done trades or deals with. If you need an opinion on me, you could ask one of them.

If your old as dirt around here and everyone's your friend, well, I guess there's no point, then. :shrug:

Well, for one example, if I wanted to send you a bomb and you didn't have an address listed, I would start by asking your friends for help.

I've found it to serve a few functions. One it allows you to know when a person you know pretty well is online without having to look at all the names that is online currently. Second its easier to contact them via using the friends list without having to either search for posts to click on their name or use the search function for members and finding there name. And hell, don't forget to have to go through your pm box too find their names to use to contact them.

Plus as Jholmes763 state it allows you to see their profile pretty easy and find out about said individual more. By using their friends list to research more on their likes and dislikes from friends. Hell, you can get addresses for other members if you look. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find someones address on the boards here. Alas, it serves many functions. :thumbs:
