So, it looks like the job will have me in NYC for a week starting April 3rd. It has come to my attention that there are a few folks here who live in the area.
Anyone interested in meeting up sometime/somewhere? Don't know where I am staying yet, but I will keep you guys posted. :thumbs:

If someone, a NY'er, takes the lead and picks one of the few places in NYC where you can still smoke, let me know/post the date/time/details and I would certainly try to make it. I'd look forward to meeting up with everyone.

EDIT "Update": After a little Google Local searching I found that I am 1.8 miles from the Davidoff shop. That sounds like a good time to me. :thumbs:
 
Ok time for an update. As of now (Sun 4/2) I have found that my fligh was not payed for and my reservation was cancled. Looks like getting in on Monday morning is a no-go.
 
Since you're coming in a day later, are you staying an extra day?
My band is playing in nearby New Jersey (really...it's near by) on Saturday the 8th, and smoking in bars will still be legal there until the 15th.
Could be a musical meet n greet n herf n whatever.
 
Ok UPDATE:
As of current I am in Manhattan. Last night I didn't get in until 4:30am because our flight from Detroit to NY had to turn around due to weather. So instead of 10:30pm landing I got to my hotel around 4:30am! Needless to say I am freakin' tired, but a good cigar should perk me up.

Anyone seriously interested in a meet-up herf, PM me and I will send you my phone # so we can more easily get this together.

Don't count yourself out yet. Everything is open right now (at least after around 5...work and all). Just have to see how it goes.
