Ok so i don't post much but am reading here everyday. I live in Rhode Island and out on the Harley all the time. I do a lot of riding in Connecticut and would love to take a ride through some of the tabacco farms. Only problem is that I have no idea where they are, or if you can even see anything from the roads.

Anyone have any knowlege.....I am dying to take a ride and have a nice smoke while looking into a field of beautifull growing tabacco

Try taking a ride on the connector off 91 over to Bradley Airport. you'll see the fields on the left and right hand side. You should also get a good shot of the barns too. I think you can take one of the exits off the connector and get a closer look too

Another thought..If you head on that back road to Six flags (I think its either RT147 or 157), they are along that road too. Thats actually a nice ride down that road. A good road for a bike ride. But I think the Big-E is soon, and that road gets really congested so be careful.

The "Farms" are not all in Ct., they are all along the Ct River Valley well into Ma. if I'm not mistaken.. Do a map search of the area around the Airport Connector and you'll get the idea. You could map out a route that would keep you off the major highways.. The last time I was up that way the cheese cloth was up. If it's still up then you'll have a good ride. I'm not sure being from the Naugatuck River area. There are a bunch of small farms in the area, just ask permission if you could walk around and see how everything is done. The old saying, you get more bees with honey then vinegar holds true. Be polite, you never know. I did that years ago and had a great time walking through the fields and seeing the old storage barns..
However I've heard recently the farms were bought up by the Large Corps., so It may be harder to gain access now.. If in fact what I heard is true.
Good luck!

I just checked out the areas that you spoke of on google maps. If you use the satalite view you can see them. Thanks for the info
