Contemplating first box purchase

I have never purchased a box nor have smoked a padron 2000 maduro but you all make want to do both.

My first box was the Flor de Gonzales white label - if I got to do it again, I'd have chosen something else. They're wonderful cigars (IIRC, you picked one up in the star car pass, right?) but they have a habit of sneaking up on you, then punching you in the nuts with nicotine. Unless you have a real craving for short smokes, where the Oliva Serie G Special G would be good (I bought a box of the cameroon this winter, great stuff) go with the Padron. Great stuff and they only get better with age.

Marco, I did pick up the Flor de Gonzalez in the pass. Haven't tried it yet though. I ordered the Padrons but will very likely pick up a box of those Oliva's later this year. Damn I need more room!

Great choice on the 2000's, I went with Naturals instead of Maddies for my first box and I love em. I still have a few kickin around I want to try after they have aged for a year or so.
