CP Newbie Intro

Just found CP the other day and sent the link to friend here in MN. It's getting cold up here and my cigar intake has been slowing. I don't smoke in the house... keeping the wife happy. Although, I would appreciate any experiences with inexpensive air purifiers so I could maybe take over the basement.

I've been smoking stoges for years, but haven't really spent much time seriously thinking about them until the last year or so. My favorites are Gurkha, Cohiba XV, Padron x000 maduros, and Punch Rare Corojo. I lurk on the alt.smokers.cigar usenet group and spend way too much on cigarbid.com (just ask the wife). :)

Anyway, I read the FAQ and know that it's gauche to just jump in and expect to get into a box pass. However, I'd like to build up my credibility here, so if anyone would be up for some trading...

Hey - welcome Dave. I'm in MN also - Duluth - I know what you mean when you say your cigar intake is slowing. Plus Duluth has a smoking ban so if I want to smoke and eat I have to go out of town.
 
Howdy Slim and welcome to CP. It's still nice out here in Sunny Florida, 80s in the day and upper 60s in the evenings. I'm sure your have a great time here at CP and there's a great bunch of guys as well....... :) :thumbs: :)

Yea, I read about the smoking ban. Our band tries to make it up there when we can. We've played at the Twins and the Reef. The Mrs. and I used to hit the bluesfest, but it just got too big to enjoy the last few years. The aquarium really messed up the park. Anyway, give a shout if you make down south here and we can find a cigar friendly bar. Will do the same if I get up in your neck o' the woods.
