CP Southern California Herf - Nov 12, 2005

Sounds like a weekday is pushing it for a lot of people.

Rod, would it be possible to have your friend open Ceniza Lounge on a weekend...like Saturday night?
 
Yeah, I was planning to pick him up.

But, if someone's closer to him...by all means :p

If the HERF is on a weekend day, I may be in San Clemente.
Won't pose a problem, just a little more work for me :whistling:

I will be at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel.

Friday night probably will not work for me as I have a scheduled Cocktail party that night. However, I will blow it off if everyone else has to do Friday. My choice would be for Saturday night.

Gentlemen, let's shoot for Saturday then. Hopefully Rod can get us into Ceniza.

Chewbacco, thanks for making Saturday work for you. If for some reason it falls through, I can give Jaewing a ride.
 
I think Saturday would be best for me as well. Only problem with Ceniza is there are no drinks there. If that's ok, than I'll get us in.

As for drinks . . . I am OK with not having drinks at the Cigar Shop. No problem here.
 
Wow, gotta love California....we really get the short end of the stick here when it comes to cigar smoking :).

No worries on them not allowing drinks.

Well I'm up for whatever guys. We could grab dinner/drinks, smoke, and then go get an after dinner too.

Dinner before hand sounds good too, that way we can get liquored-up before hand.

I guess the next question is what time is this taking place?

I will need to plan my time, I will most likely be in San Clemente that day.
 
Never been there, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Only place I've been to from looking at that site was 'The Yard House' and I had a pretty good time. It has the bar atmosphere, haven't tried the food though...drinks were good.

So speaking will be a problem.

Let me know if this isn't ;) a good idea. She's very liberal, so she won't get on your guys' case!
 
Does she smoke cigars? Is this cigar night or date night bud? Cigar smokers only! :) My lady wanted to come too, is pretty liberal, but she doesn't smoke cigars...so she's out. Just my friendly opinion though.

We're all around the same age chewbacco, it'll be all good man. Tell her every now and then it's good to have a guy's night out :).

What I mean by liberal is that she's not stuffy or uptight.

As for smoking, she smokes cigarettes. She tries my cigars when I smoke them...and she's good at pointing out flavors. She likes them, but she's not a cigar smoker.

Reason why I asked is that she wants to meet the people I hang with on the internet...not that you guys are creepy ;)
Also, you never know...you guys might turn her into one! I'm hoping that'll happen.

CigarLady will probably be joining as well. Yes, she smokes cigars.

About Yard House -- not to keen on that place. Been there three times. Too noisy and food is sub-par. Typical corporate restaurant chain. Pricey for what you get. I'm not against it, just for those who haven't been there, it is loud. Oh, and they don't filter their water, tastes like chlorine. Yes, I know, I'm a food critic. I actually do write many online reviews about the restaurants in So Cal.

Sounds great! Looks like we're going to have a nice turnout. You think the city would get mad if we setup a CigarPass.com booth at the Paseo to promote cigar smoking? :D

I'm working on securing the date with Ceniza. Will let you know what I find out. So far, this should not be a problem. They're not open to the public yet, so I just want to make sure they have the necessary furniture. ;)
