CP's "Cigar 101" Newbie Pass

Hey all. I just got back from being out to sea. It's nice to have my feet on dry land again. I shouldn't be going out again for a while, so I'm good. :D Looks like you guys have been havin' some fun while I was gone. Keep it up. :D

What?? From Hartsvegas? Nooo way! That's trippin'! Talk about a small world. Yeah, that discount place is crap :laugh: . Went up there once asked if they had any extra boxes left over I could have (or buy). Lady got stank with me and said, "Yeah, $5.00 each". Mmm...can you guess what I told 'em? And if anyone knew the size of this town, they'd understand why that's just a bit on the high side. They're using a small refrigeration unit, looks like out of a meat market, to keep their sticks in. I opened it up and was probably 90F in there. I went to say something, but decided nah, and left.

I've been over to Micky Finn's in Flotown, got a decent little walk-in humi (pricey damn smokes though) and yes, $1.00 boxes!! lol 'Cept they hardly ever have any. Get liquor on one side and smokes on the other. Cool. Course, I get most my smokes from the wonderful BOTL's on CP, or from the outstanding vendor people lurking around (where the hell is Puff lately??) :laugh: .

Very nice T/P's Chico! Although the Tat GC is a smidgen more than the CAO VE, we won't squabble over 27 cents! :D You did a fine job here!

I'll get the list updated shortly. The package should deliver to Stinki tomorrow. Hopefully the two of you can get everything done and have it back out on Monday as planned.

Oh, you can go back to your seat now Chico. :laugh:

Thanks Greg. So far so good on the plans. I'll meet up with Geoff tomorrow and the package should be on its way to Justin by Monday.

This baby with California prices is enough to fund 1 really really good night in Vegas...

Somebody is bound to get hurt with so many bombs in the air....this scene is like the end of the Cold War that never happened.

Allllrighty then! You guys ready to get started on the Treasure Hunt? I'm going outside for a few to smoke one of those fine sticks John (Jfk742) sent today (uh...more like bombed the crap outta me with!), and then come back to start this thing at approximately 9:15 p.m. EST.

It looks like there's a lot of students missing this evening, can't imagine why it being a Friday night and all. However, I'm going to go ahead and start this and when everyone gets to class, just jump right in!

As mentioned, this is a Treasure Hunt of sorts. Here are the rules:

1. For CP’s Cigars 101 Newbie Pass students only.
2. This is a Treasure Hunt of sorts. You will go to each “location” to find out what to do/where to go. You will be given a clue (or clues) and, in some instances, you will be given a “password” in order to get the next clue (or clues). You will also be given a “hint” to guess the password.
3. You will be given only 3 guesses at the password. If not correct after 3 guesses, sorry Charlie!
4. There will be 48 hour time limits placed at each clue. This will hopefully give everyone a chance to keep up (some of us have to work, travel, baby sit, cook, clean, smoke stogies outside, etc.). If you get left behind, again so sorry Charlie (who’s this Charlie guy?).
5. Please copy me on all PMs. I want to see my students' efforts.
6. Have fun!!

Alrighty then! Let’s get this thing started, shall we?

First Clue:
A link has been placed, where we don’t know. How do you find it? Where will it show? Follow the footsteps of one we hold dear, in his post it will be come clear.

Learn anything about cigar photography lately? X marks the spot (and no, this isn’t the actual treasure yet…)
