I seem to remember an artcle in a past newsletter that featured a cigar story in Tiajuana, Mexico that sold authentic cuban cigars. Does any one remember the name or address of the cigar store? I'm leaving for Mexico this Fiday and would like to pick up a few cigars. Thanks for the assistnace.

I don't think I've ever seen ANYTHING authentic come out of Tijuana. Maybe a can of tuna, but I think it was spoiled.

Yeah, I know it's risky buying Cuban cigars in TJ, but I'm sure I remember a article in a Famous Newsletter sent via e-mail that talked about a shop in TJ that could be trusted to have bona fide Cuban cigars. That caught my attention but unfortunately, and I don't remember the name of the store or address. Hopefully, somebody on the list does.

Thanks to all who responded to my request for information. I will make good use of it this weekend in TJ. I've been there several times before and realize you have to be on guard...especially at night. But it can be a blast too, if you know where to go. Thanks again! -Steve

For all those traveling to TJ for Cuban Cigars, I visited the LA CASA DEL HABANO last week and found several counterfeit cigars. Consequently, I didn't buy there. However, there was a shop across the street next the parking lot and the grocery store that had a good selection of what appeared to be authentic Cubans.
