Cuban vs................

I wouldnt go to the end of the earth to smoke one. A few years ago I had a cigar joint. Since we risked getting busted for Cubans we tried a lot of blends. The house blend was a combination of Dominican, Honduran & Ecuadorian leaf with a Conneticut wrapper. That was a great smoke. Some people say that a Cuban vs Anything Else is like Porsche vs Bug or Rolex vs Seiko or Castle vs Penthouse. Just curious if anyone knows some good blends and/or comparisons?

There is a place in asheville called the carolina tobacco co. that has a good house blend...is it as good as a cuban?...nope.

You're better off staying away from Cubans, they're quite nasty. Let us handle them.

I really wouldn't know the difference, I have not had the unfortunate opportunity to try one of those :0 ISOM

I read somewhere that the Cuban mystique starts with the soil in which the tobacco is grown-something about a higher lithium content in the soil. In any event, I can usually tell a Cuban from a N/C just by smelling for that unmistakeable farm yard aroma . Are they better than a good Nic or Dom or Hon one? No. I would hazard the opinion, though, that a smoker's life is made that much better with the addition of a few good ISOMs to the humidor.
