MattR is spot on - you need to hire a good lawyer right away and fight this. I would recommend finding a lawyer specializing in OFAC cases as not all lawyers are equipped to handle the complexities of the 'Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917' 7 (40 Stat. 411, enacted 6 October 1917, codified at 12 U.S.C. § 95a et seq.) and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (Title II of Pub.L. 95–223, 91 Stat. 1626, enacted October 28, 1977). Both of which apply to the purchase of Cuban products. (Oddly enough - Cuba is the last foreign power subject to TWEA as North Korea's restrictions were lifted in 2008).

And - whatever you do - ignore those ...did you just receive the 'letter'?" lawyer commercials on late night cable. Those folks will just rip you off and feed you to the wolves...

No disrespect Rod, but why would anyone do this for someone we don't know or trust for that matter?
 
It almost seems like a thinly veiled attempt to get members to admit committing an illegal act and asking for their personal solution should they get caught.
 
I recall when this member first appeared here a year or so ago.  I was conversing with a (now banned :/) member, remarking at how this dude would boast here in his first few posts about dropping several grand on cigars and a cabinet AS A START-UP KIT trying to decide if this cigar thing is for him or not.  My thoughts were about 6 months later we were going to see a "health scare" sale here from him.  I was about 12 months late on the "scare", now just waiting for the "sale"...
 
YellowSmoke also denied any knowledge of a member on a different cigar forum with an eerily similar user name boasting of much the same "start up" purchases well before his alleged initial hobby buy-in when he came to us.  Could be a different person altogether, though this former member is 100% sure it's not.

You guys don't pick up on the obvious clues in the postings. Here is a guy that posts about money using the european way of saying US dollars. The dollar sign after the amount. If he is euro, why would he get a letter? Could he be a vendor? Who knows. I ignore all new folks to the site when their first few posts have to do with confiscated cigars! YMMV
 
I think YellowSmoke  found the ID 10 T button on his keyboard and thinks he needs to continually use it.  :whistling:
 
I'm pretty sure he was an undercover agent. I saw black helicopters over my house right after my post here and my cell phone beeped every once in a while, while I was talking the other day. I've donned my tin foil hat and am wearing it to work everyday.

Possibly (quite possibly), though I seem to recall him talking about doing a lot of business in Europe and being over there all the time (London, IIRC).  Either way, he's come across as completely full of shit in every post of his I've read here.
