Dance Lessons

Just got back from lesson #4... all I can say is I'm a fox-trotting fool!! :laugh:

So, just to be clear on what has been requested so far:

- Alex wants to dance with me at the CP herf in Vegas;
- Bfreebern wants to be my partner at the first ever Dancing with the CP Stars;
- DavidR was to be my partner at the PacNW herf ;
- Cookie and Rod want to see the wife and I dance it up on Saturday night in Vegas;
- Matt just wants to swing and doesn't care who he swings with; and
- Junkman wants pics of all the above.

Freaky stuff, I tell ya...

I wont even comment then.....Accept to say, David has a thing for 8ft gold plated poles!! :whistling:

Watch out bro! :laugh:

Back when I lived in SF, I took swing/lindy hop lessons for quite some time. It was before the swing-craze was really getting popular, then it boomed, then it died out again. But, still dance sometimes - just not as much of a venue for it here in Miami. Now, mostly salsa/casino rueda. Did some too on the west coast, but there is definitely a difference between west coast salsa and east coast. But, have been doing that style of dance (salsa and casino rueda) since birth, so have only gone to lessons around Miami with friends who wanted to go...usually ending up in high level "classes" while they toll away in level 1.

Keep up the lessons brother. You will tremendously appreciate them when you can take your girl out on the dance floor and then have a crowd of on-lookers watching from how well you're doing.

My wife wanted us to learn to dance. Instead, I bought her the carmen electra stripper/pole dancing video. She didnt think it was too funny.
I sooo want that video- Pffft, lucky girl!
Any whoooooo- Dancing--- hmmm, I commend you for going even if you didn't want to in the first place. You still went and came to learn it AINT that bad! Myself- I can't dance WORTH A DAMN- Watching me dance ( which does happen under a deep state of inebriation ) is kinda like watching the kid from " one of these kids is doing it's own thing" from sesame street. Or more like Cameron Diaz in the infamous Charlie's Angels White Gurl dance- just without the cool undies.
With that said you are far faaaaar braver than I.
PS- Draggin me to dance lessons is grounds for divorce.( ahem !)

This is obviously a popular thing with the wives my wife has been asking me for years to take lessons. The athletic club we belong to is going to offer lessons in ballroom over the next couple of months...

Dah Ding!

Guess who's signed up :whistling:

We actually did Arthur Murray years ago before we got married.
