My company is actually the one that found the wreck, although not my office. It's an amazingly lucky find of course but the coolest thing is the way they found it, with AUV's and side scan sonar. AUV's are basically torpedo's that have their payloads removed and replaced with sonar systems for charting. You drop them in the water and let them circulate and then see what they find.

The irony is amazing, considering this thing was suck by torpedo's on a unknown course in the middle of nowhere, when no one knew where it was, it was found again with... a torpedo searching for it with sonar in the middle of nowhere.
