Dark wrapper on RP sungrown

Just recently I purchased a box of RP sungrown robusto's. I had never used the vendor but couldn't pass up the deal. Well, when I opened the box I was surprised to see that the wrappers were very dark(wrapper shade reminded me of a A.F Don Carlos)instead of the usual light color. Has anyone else seen this? I know a picture would help but I've been too lazy to purchase a digital camera.Thanks

Not sure if it'll help, but here's a pic of some RPs that I have for comparison. I'm sure wrapper shades vary slightly, though. I've also read on here that the cigars are going to be sorted so that the boxes look a uniform color. You more than likely got a box that was sorted with the slightly darker wrappers...

Very true. Most of the major brands sort the cigars they roll by color of the wrapper to ad some uniformity to the box. Just smoke them. I don't think you will find anything to be disappointed about with this particular vitola from Rocky :thumbs:
 
I've had a variety of shades with this wrapper and all were good. There were some taste difference but they were slight.

JHolmes - nice drawer! That Edge looks like it has some age on it, too! :thumbs:

Thanks for the reply. They are about as dark as the edge in your pic jholmes. which is a BIG difference than any that I've smoked.

:) It's only been in there a couple of months, IIRC. I smoked the rest of the fiver and will eventually get more. Those are good. I really need to get my log book going, too, so I can keep track of these things.

The SG I have is the same color as my OWR Maddie if that helps. Haven't smoked one yet but I was about o go pick one out, maybe I'll try it.
