Dave Chappelle

this is a damm shame...Chappelle rules. i have sirius satellite radio, and one of his pals (jim breuer, aka goat boy, co-star with dave in 1/2 baked) was talking about this the other day. word is, he didn't expect his show to catch on as fast as it did, and do so well. he was expecting a 1-2yr deal with comedy central and do his regular stand up stuff. from what breuer said, he has creative issues with comedy central and is under a lot of pressure to always be funny. damm, damm shame! please get well Dave... :(

edit for spelling

I'm with you castaway. It's difficult having to always top yourself. It stifles your creativity. It really is alot to deal with. I hope he makes it through alright. Very very funny & talented guy.

We're on your side Dave, stay strong!

I hope for his sake, and for the sake of the quality humor he puts out, that's he's in South Africa on a mini vacation.

A psych clinic is better than resorting to drugs to deal with the pressure.

Might be dealing with both. At least he seems to be trying to deal with it. We have lost too many good ones who didn't deal with it. Belushi and Kinison to name a couple.

Hang in there Dave. (like he will be reading this :p )

i'm sure he's been dealing with drugs for a lot long than he's been dealing with the preasures of his tv show

well, all I can say is...

What did the five fingers say to the face?!?!

Came back Dave! :(

Why did he go all the way to South Africa I wonder... I've seen quite many episodes of the Chapelle show, not my favorite but some great stuff. I've never seen the famous Rick James episode :whistling:
