Davidoff Group acquires Cusano

Just got a letter in the mail that Davidoff Group has "completed another strategic acquisition in the USA by purchasing Cusano Cigars." Wonder what that will mean....other than higher prices.

Between this and Camacho, they now have a stronger base in the market.

As high end stock has stablized(due to the economy), the smaller markets can grow.

Look at it his way, if you have a $12 stick that cost $10 and a $6 stick that cost $3...which would you want to sell more of.

More important, which would you want to sell more of NOW!

I'm sure there are a few others who may have an idea as well.

And a full spread across the price points, too. Smart move. Cusano puts out some great $5 cigars.

I definitely think it was the right move just as Gary stated. What doesn't hurt you makes you stronger. Cusana is a good add to the Davidoff / Camacho Conglomerate and who knows what will be next........ :)

This gives them a solid base of lower priced smokes.

Since acquiring Camacho, I haven't noticed much, if any, changes.
