Deployed at Christmas?

Christmas morning is breaking over my home in Japan, and I'm thankful to be home this year to share today with my family.

To any member of the armed forces who is deployed this morning in my place, please send me your address and I'll pass along a fiver of thanks for your service.

It is rough being away for the holidays. 2007 I was on the 22nd MEU for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year as well as 2008 when I was in Africa. Defiantly great to be with family the past two years.

I have been away more in the last 5 years than I've been home. But your unit becomes your second family and you get to say "Thank you Colonel" for the turkey he throws on your plate! :laugh: It's a new experience every time.
