Next thing i will hear is "i would expect this from hockey fans" BS
Only hockey fans from Boston ;)
HEY watch it...... :0 :p

Just 'cause the Yankees choked, don't take out frustrations on the great  city of Boston. :D
Yankees didn't choke. George ordered the loss and gave each player a mil bonus for following orders. It is just part of our evil plan to take the life out of the Bosox---take away their only lifelong identity even if it is being losers. Now let the fun begin for another 4 generations!

Artest got suspended for the year. Jackson for 30. O'Neal for 25.

Damn. Indiana is f*cked... and rightfully so.

point taken. But, you can not relate how businesses of detroit conduct business versus primo seat ticket holders that are more than likely not citizens of detroit. And the Detroit Pistons play in Auburn Hills, which is a high class city and is surrounded by even higher class cities. Before you make your remarks, do some research first.

What exactly are you trying to say here? That people who have these seats have traveled from all over the country to go to the game? These are mainly Detroit-area fans. In fact, with the areas that these fans were sitting, i.e. right behind the benches, these were probably season ticket holders. I don't have any evidence in this, but I am making a pretty educated guess. Now, do people from other parts of the country hold these season tickets? I think not.

True, they play in Auburn Hills, a suburb of DETROIT. God knows what would have happened if this game were played in, say, Hamtramick. If you relate how the fans in a high-class area of Detroit act, then what do you think would have happened if it happened in what you call a low-class area of the city?

Before you make your remarks, do some research first.

Are you denying that Detroit is an unsafe city? You obviously didn't catch the LINK that I posted with the research that I did. Can you dispute the facts that Detroit is considered the 2nd most unsafe city in the country? Again, don't think that I am someone in California looking up stats and saying that Detroit is an unsafe city, I have been there, and it is one of the few places that I have visited that I felt unsafe.

Again, what I said was that I am not surprised that this happened in Detroit, Michigan, based on the facts that Detroit is an unsafe city. Would I be surprised if this happened in St. Louis? Or Baltimore? No, I would not be surprised. Or would I be surprised if this happened in Charlotte? Or Sacramento? Yes, I would be a bit surprised, as they are not considered "Dangerous" Cities as Detroit is.

You are not going to change the way I feel about it, and I am not going to change the way that you feel about it. Cities that are unsafe generally have unsafe activities occur in them, hence the reputation for being an "Unsafe City". Detroit is considered such, and I am not a bit surprised that this event occured there.

Hey! I'm in California.............Watch how you broad brush now :p

I saw it on Sports Center last night (Sunday Night). I am not surprised at all that this happened. Especially after watching the big man two hand touch his ass to the grill. Then after being 'beered' going after a lanky white dude with glasses on. What a puss. He went right past many people to get to somebody he could take his frustrration out on.

And then when he got all of that stuff thrown at him while leaving. It should have been some of those ACME anvils and Punching Gloves. Very low class. The 73 games seems to be fair. But the Multi-million dollar civil suit that is to follow will be even better.

And that other dude throwing haymakers next to him. Throw his ass out of the league too!

I am not a big fan of the NBA for just this reason. I think the NBA should adopt the NHL rules for fighting. Let 'em go until someone ends up on the floor. Then penalize them and move on. That will control 90% of the **** talkers and hackers. Yeah, there will be some real mallays, but, at least they will be between players. And not the fans.

As far as someone's comment on the Clemson/South Carolina Game..........Bank on their being expulsions and suspensions from both teams. But the severity of the incident will be lost some because it is the end of the season. I feel bad for the coaching staffs. I know they don't condone this, and both guys, Holtz and Bowden, run tight ships. But, they will be blamed for not being able to control those kids.

And Holtz is retiring with this as the last impression. Very sad situation indeed.

Fighting in sports is inevitable. Lots of egos and reputations. Just dole out the appropriate penalty + a deterring overreach. And if the player Unions don't like it. Then they should enroll members who have a propensity for this type of violence in sensitivity training.

The only fans I know of in the local area (So Cal) that are not quite this mental are Angel and Charger fans. Pretty well behaved. Very family friendly environments to watch a game in. Very few 'bad citizens' to deal with in the stands. And even less on the field. Not that there aren't any, just very few.

Maybe next Holloween they'll burn down their little Palace. Detriot is the only city that is proud they only have 141 (2004) arson fires during Holloween. That alone tells me enough.

I recall this happening in a baseball game not too long ago as well. So, it's not just confined to the NBA (as much as I throughly dislike pro-basketball). It's infuriating anyway you cut it, and sickens me completely.

Attributible to the "Devil's Night" history/tradition that they have up there. They can have it.

I just add this to the whole Olympics episode as another nail in the coffin of pro basketball in particular. A lot of the peripheral fans aren't going to bother to drop 10 cents on the NBA preseason (November through May) and maybe nobody cares about the playoffs either. Kind of reminiscent of 1978 when pro basketball was heading down the cr*pper before the fresh air provided by Bird and Magic. Now the savior of basketball will be out of High School. Good luck. Is there a collective bargaining agreement coming up for the NBA and its player association at the end of this year? Good luck again.

LOL-watching the brawl was the most NBA action that I've watched in four years. :D :p ;)
