Now were talking Wyatt. I've got a Gibson Les Paul Smartwood on the electric end and a Taylor 314 on the acoustic. I love the Smartwood because unlike most Les Pauls it's actually very light. The Taylor sings like a dream. Before I bought it I must have played a hundred guitars. I tried Martins, Gibsons, Takamines, everything. Nothing even came close to the Taylor. On stage, I play a 1970's Yamaha my father gave me. It doesn't sound as good as the Taylor, but nothing beats the feeling of knowing that this guitar was played by my father for many years. Plus if it gets scratched it won't cause me the heart failure I'd get from dinging up the Taylor.
Good call Wyatt. Enjoy.
