I've been going through my mp3's from the iPass Blues Pass/Vine and have been finding some great new music.

This past weekend I was searching for album art and details for two artist, Etta James and Alberta Hunter. I did have previous knowledge of Etta James, "At Last", but have never really listened to much of her other material until this past weekend. Wow, she did some great blues music, if you enjoy this style of music check out her catalog. I was digging "I Want To Ta Ta You, Baby" and "The Blues Don't Care", I'm doing sit down with a smoke and a glass of bourbon with these this afternoon.

The other artist that I haven't much exposure to is Alberta Hunter. Okay, this is the real deal, if your interested in reading her biography read it HERE. A couple of my favorites include "Amtrak Blues" (1978), "Got The Blues So Bad (1926)", I love the clarinet part on the second one.

I can't wait to find more in this collection!

That’s the wonderful thing about getting music you have never heard before.
There are times you say “wow that was great, I wonder what else is out by that artist”.

Thanks again for starting the iPass Blues Pass/Vine. New music is a good thing.
