Need more info... There could ba a ton of reasons why they were unbanded. Where'd he get them, how'd he get them, etc.
Sounds like they could be real - but also could be fake.
From your photos it's hard to tell, but the construction looks good. Certainly tearing them apart might reveal more (but you'd have to destroy the cigar).
Anyways - even if you were able to establish that they were from there - an even bigger challenge is determining where they came from (i.e. what is the marcas). Both of those vitola are the most popular cigars that are rolled - and could be any of the marcas (i.e. Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas, etc.) produced.
I say just smoke 'em if they're good and don't worry about where they came from. :thumbs:
BTW - that $20 bill in the last photo looks like it might be a fake. I think you need to send it here for a better look...
