I agree. My wife's birthstone is pearl and over the years we've been married I have bought numerous necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, etc. with pearls in them. A winner every time! :thumbs:

Any ring before THE RING is a letdown.

Buy a slide bracelet, then you are set for the next couple of holidays, birthdays etc. as you just get to add to it.

White gold looks like a shiny silver but not as lustrous, may need to be rhodium dipped every couple years. Try to get that kind of care package included in price.

Mine doesn't go for flowers or jewelry. The few times that I did get those things for her when we fere first dating, she about took my head off. She likes more "practical" things. She's frickin' Mahatma Gandhi when it comes to selflessness. She'd prefer something likea vaccuum cleaner or something like that.

Just wanted to let you all know I have done extensive research (did you know there's a Diamond forum? yeah probably) anyway it turns out there is a diamond importer right here in town whose prices are very competitive with online prices. It turns out there is also a Valentine's sale so I guess I will be buying a diamond ring today
