I'm interested in seeing who uses Google Checkout. Seems like a very nice alternative to PP, with lesser fees.

I've never tried Google Checkout...might have to look into it.
 
I've had one too many bad experiences with PP, and will never use them again. Going to check out that link, thanks Rod!!
 
I've used both.

I think they have the same policies regarding purchases of our beloved agricultural product so I use them reluctantly. There are no other alternatives that I know of for online payment.
 
I've never heard of the Google checkout, what is their stance on tobacco related purchases? My PP privileges were cut off a while back because someone failed and wrote what they were buying from me in the subject field.
 
Hi, Rod! I have used Google Checkout many times, and I have used PayPal many times. In my opinion, Google Checkout is far superior. Google Checkout greatly simplifies the process of making online purchases. Yes, if given a choice, Google Checkout is my preferred choice. Enjoy your weekend, Rod! Regards, knightlaird
 
I use both but prefer Google Checkout. I see alot of sites offering both. But PP has screwed me and others I know in the past. So when I get to choose I try to give my fees to Google.

Google Checkout Restrictions

Look there. They're in alphabetical order. The one we're most interested in is third from the bottom. :(
 
Never had a problem with poopay but i always like to keep my alternatives. Thanks Rod. :thumbs:
 
Rod, we use both.

Google checkout since inception, I think that was over a year ago. PP, for 7+ years.

I guess it depends what you are looking for. We have every option available, MC, Visa, Discover, Amex. The more options you have, the easier you make it for your customer.
PP has been around a long time, many people are comfortable using them, whereas, Google, as can be seen by this thread, is not well known, yet! Keep in mind that Google will charge
more when they feel that they are well established, this will happen soon IMO.

One more thing, some carts are not compatible with Google, we switched to Volusion and had problems.

I use Google when available, nice and easy. I hate paypal becuase they want to link to my checking account (I make some high end IT purchases). It bothers me to do that so I don't use them. That's why I'm using a CC.
 
i've have only used google checkout once a few years ago when they were running a special with either a $10-$20 off any purchase. i wouldnt mind using google over pp
 
I don't know about Google but IMO PP sucks! A while back my PP account was hacked into and a hundred dollar charge was applied to my account. Since the account was at zero before the attack after he was done my account was now 100 dollars overdrawn. PP notifies me that the account was hacked into and that they would handle everything from that point on. All is quiet for a couple of weeks until I received a notice in the mail that PP had turned my account over to a collection agency. @$#^%&*!!!! Guess what? Yup, you guessed it! They want the 100 dollars back. Now I'm back on the phone trying to straighten out the whole mess.

Oh yea....did I say PP sucks??? :angry:
