Boiling spaghetti noodles on the stove with a hint of olive oil, reaching for an almost empty glass of beajolais; bottle almost full
Simmering a pot of homemade spaghetti sauce from the celestial mind of my grandmother
Now belly full and brain clouded, searching for a worthy stick only to polish this peaceful state
Señor Tomás robustly staring me down handsomely clothed in Cameroon, not having spoken since mid July
A custom cut with razor sharp knife giving the perfect draw, filling my mouth with raw tobacco flavor
Followed by fire, slowly rolling the foot with only the heat of the flame creating the orange-red
The wine, heavily pulling oak flavors around the tongue, absent of any spice
Cold-front cooling my face; this is living the moments of the night
Falling back into the camping chair detecting flavors of caramel consuming my bottom jaw
Jolting my hand to lean and scratch my dog behind the ear, ashes thud with concrete
Solid with intensity all the way through, a character only defined by quality
Burning the tips of my fingers with gentle heat, it was time to say goodnight.

Interesting review... I think I need to revisit Don Tomas. Haven't had one in years.
