Hey Guys,

There are times when I wonder about the application of this rule. We aren't supposed to have discussions of touchy subjects, right? I recall a thread about Rod's AR15 Build when NullSmurf posted a picture that singled out President Obama as "Firearms Salesman of the Year." The response to this post was generally positive. However, I consider the image to have underlying political implications that open the door for a political discussion. I don't understand why the community viewed the post as a non-issue.

Is there some sort forum mechanism at work in this situation that I simply fail to comprehend? I ask this question out of all sincerity.
