I'm just sitting here, minding my own business typing up a paper, and then my desk started shaking! Pretty weak for a CA earthquake, but while smoking a Forbidden X Lancero, it was pretty boss.

Anybody else feel that?

Mexican-made whoopee cushion.

TIJUANA (Reuters) – A strong 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck in Baja California, Mexico on Sunday, rocking buildings and panicking residents as far away as Tijuana and Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California.

Mexican officials had no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

"I'm shaking like a leaf ... the pool water was just going everywhere," said Jean Nelson in Indio, California outside of Palm Springs.

A Reuters witness in Tijuana said cars in a parking lot outside of a building could be seen jolting with the quake.

The quake was felt in downtown Los Angeles, witnesses said.

The quake struck at 15:40 Pacific time (6:40 p.m. EDT) 16 miles south southwest of Guadalupe Victoria at a depth of 20 miles. The quake was 108 miles east southeast of Tijuana.

Multiple aftershocks were reported.

Damn, I knew I should have bought that beachfront property in Arizona when I had the chance.

Everybody okay out there, Jon?

It was just the Flyers throttling the Red Wings Jon...not an earthquake!

That was a looooong shaker. I was on the couch chillin, had enough time to get up and go outside and watch the water splashing out of the pool.
Seemed like at least 45 seconds.

Hope everybody's alright. I don't know what's worse, earthquakes or tornadoes.

Good thing we don't really have either one up here.

So you get an earthquake and go out side to watch the water in the pool splash around? :0 It's funny how different things impact you differently based on where you live. I have no doubt if I was traveling down there and felt an earth quake that could splash the water around in a pool I'd be praying for forgiveness under a table.

It was a whoopee cushion Jon

Dude, either that, or CRQuarto ripped a monster "Leonidas-style" fart.

Soulman; you have NO couth. Wash your mouth out . :whistling:

Now this is an honest answer Jon.

I was out in Murrieta at my grandparents, and we felt it pretty good. I know thats in a few of you guy's neck of the woods so we probably got the same experience. I expected it to get worse but it just sorta rolled around.

I really like this 'another earthquake, another day' mentality. Thanks for the chuckle and my best to everyone in CA.

Hey, we all gotta die sometime eh? It can either be by slipping in the shower, or getting swallowed into the earth with a Forbidden X in your mouth!

Reminded me of the movie I just saw last week, 2012. The special effects were crazy.

Glad it turned out to be a baby one Jon.
