I got an email stating that my account had been suspended to protect the safety of the community. It was actually Half.com. I sent an email asking for a reason why I was suspended, and am anxiosly awaiting a reply. The only thing I can think of is that I sold a book titled "Growing Gormet and Medicinal Mushrooms". I really don't see the problem with this, but I know what kind of jackasses run ebay. Anyway, this is just a rant because it pisses me off that they are pretty much saying I am trying to fraud the ebay community. I am trying to keep my cool until I get the $400 they owe me, but I have a good long vulgar email or phone call to unleash on them after I get it. That is all.

Just one occurance and they ban you? Funny they ban you before paying what they owe you what a bunch of B.S.

We do alot on e-bay and find from time to time we get these e-mails but they are not from e-bay. They look like it but arn't it must be people trying to scam info from us I assume to rip off our accounts.

Yep, I think xprinter is onto something here. When you hit "reply" in the email you received, did you happen to see what the address was in your browser? Odds are is was NOT eBay. ;)

I regularly receive emails from some shitheads posing as eBay/PayPal, etc. trying to sucker me into "updating" my account information.

x3

I sell books and such on Ebay and get all kinds of phising emails. Just look at where it came from and where any links take you. Most are something like www.ebay.he.com or other such close but no cigar address.

What are you saying???

Ebay and that P-P service are always asking for me to log in and verify my user name and password. Somebody keeps trying to add an email to my acount and they want to make sure it is not me. I thought hey are just looking out for me.

You mean it's not really them??? :whistling:

What bait are you using when phising?

I don't think you'll be losing much. Then again, I'm biased.

Its not just an email. When I log on to ebay, it says my account is suspended.

OH SHIT, no wonder my bank account has been low. Thought it was just my Miami fake isom dealer debiting my account for the $10,000 in cigars i ordered

Oh oh, then it does indeed sound like they phucked you. I never really liked those people in the first place, the site is full of scammers, thieves and shill bidders. The eBay management and their attorneys are a bunch of phonies that are scared of their own shadows and have a self-righteous, do-gooder attitude like not allowing the sale of tobacco but they will allow pornorgraphy, ticket scalping, etc.

They're digging their own hole.

Or to put it another way..... SHIT NO!!!! From what they can get on line via searches and what ever else you give them from answering those emails, they are on their way to do bad things, to accounts, identity, etc....
